Disneyland magazine No. 12 (December 1961)

Monthly issue No. 12 from December 1961 of Disney magazine ディズニーの国 (which can be translated as “Disneyland”).
This volume measures 25.8×18.2cm, quite large as a children’s comic, it was sold for ¥100 and has 74 color pages.

The back of the magazine features an advertisement for Nintendo’s Disney playing cards.

The advertisement shows the new Disney P.G. (Play Guide) card decks on sale for ¥400, which also included an instruction booklet on how to play. At the bottom, you can see the manufacturer 任天堂骨牌株式會社 (Nintendo Playing Card Co., Ltd.).

At the top left, in the blue box resembling a television monitor, are listed the television time slots when the children’s TV series 紫頭巾 (“Purple Hood”) was broadcast in December 1961. This series had Shunji Natsume as the lead actor and was sponsored by Nintendo to advertise its playing cards.
