1956 Toy & Dolls Mark in Japan
The cover says 1956年 全国玩具人形商標総覧 (which can be translated as “1956 National Toy and Doll Business Directory”), but it also has an English title which is “Toy & Dolls Mark in Japan”.
This book measures 22×15.5 cm and has a hardcover, with a whopping 217 pages, many of which are in color.
It contains many advertisements for toy stores of the time, including those selling hanafuda and playing cards. Among the latter, a store advertising Nintendo playing cards is visible toward the middle of the volume.
This is a shop called 西野商店 located in Osaka, in the Minami district, and it sells games such as Go, Shogi, Mahjong and various other games.
